In 2013 I acquired an authentic WWII US M1 helmet that belonged to a Second Lieutenant who wore it in the Pacific Theatre in WW2 (see last photo). As a nod of reverence for this incredible piece of history, I wanted to replicate its look on one of my own helmets, the Recon Large, and this is the result.
Helmet is lined, padded with adjustable padding, and ready to wear. It measures 9.5" from ear to ear, and 10.5" front to back. It is made from Smooth-Cast 65D and ONYX resins infused with aluminum powder; the metallic damage you see isn’t painted on, but a result of the paint job being physically scraped off to reveal a realistic metallic surface underneath. The visor window colour is dark green.
The removable MHAS Macrobinoculars are 3D printed in PLA however, so there the damage is mostly painted on. The blue and yellow LED lights in the ears (9v battery included) are paying homage to my Ukrainian heritage and the current moment in history.
Now for the quick in-universe background story of this M1 Recon Large: bucket was recovered from the body of a fallen Mando commander defending his home world from the Empire during the Night of a Thousand Tears.
NOTE: this helmet is intended for cosplay or display purposes only. It has no safety rating, and is not designed for impact sports like airsoft, paintball, or to be used as personal protection of any kind. The authentic WWII M1 helmet shown in one of the photos is for reference only and is not included in this listing.
Thanks for looking!

The Mynock's Den Modular Helmet Accessory System (MHAS) allows the wearer to effortlessly change the look of their Mynock’s Den MHAS-compatible helmet by attaching and detaching mechanical accessories like range finders and macrobinoculars or antennae without having to perform destructive modifications to the helmet itself. The system uses specially designed magnetic adapters that snap into corresponding receptacles built into the helmet for instant customization.
