Tamiya 1/35 Scale Leopard 2A6 Tank "Ukraine" Edition

This was the first Tamiya model kit I've built, and the first time I'd painted a realistic military vehicle model. Some of my experience from painting my helmets came in handy, but I had to research and learn a lot about how to weather military models at this scale. I feel like I got some things right, some things wrong, but overall I loved working on this kit so much, I ended up getting 3 other military vehicle kits at the 1/35th scale to build a little diorama display.

 

The kit itself is beautifully molded, and came together nicely. I accidentally snapped off one of the movable front turret panels, and had to glue it on, which reminded me of the way I had to glue the wings on my Bandai B-Wing after they accidentally melted off. I decided to skip the decals supplied with the kit and paint on a red cross on white canvas which
