The Trandoshan was waiting for me, concealed behind an outcropping of rock near the cliff wall. The first shot slammed into my helmet, nearly knocking me off my feet. The second and third went wide, thudding into the dirt somewhere behind me and to the left.
I recovered quickly and activated my helmet’s MHAS. The sensors locked on instantly, painting a red marker over his position in my HUD.
A few seconds later, the cliff wall behind him erupted—showering the area with molten rock, twisted metal, and whatever Trandoshans are made of.
They always send such amateurs after me…
This was the very first “GI” helmet cast I ever produced (2019). Initially I gave it a very simple white spray paint job, but it was never truly “finished”, being used as a demo/test helmet for my MHAS accessories in the shop.
In November 2022, I decided to give this lid the love it always deserved. It took 3 months to rework it (not because it takes this long, but because I can be pretty indecisive when it comes to colours, painting and repairing and repainting some more🥴), but this is the final result.
